This Privacy Policy and Terms of Use (“Policy”) explains how Prcode (“Prcode”, the “Application”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information and sets the rules for using the Application. By downloading, accessing, or using Prcode, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
Prcode is a utility application for scanning and decoding supported one-dimensional and two-dimensional barcodes, including QR codes. Depending on the version and device, the Application may also allow users to create codes, manage products and groups, keep scan records, share results, and export information to files such as PDF or Excel.
Prcode only interprets the information encoded in a barcode. We do not create, verify, endorse, or control third-party content, products, websites, contact details, payment requests, or other information contained in codes scanned by users.
Prcode does not require an account and does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share personal data with us. Barcode content, scan history, products, groups, notes, and generated files are processed or stored on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, or open them through another service.
We do not receive your camera images, scanned codes, product lists, exported documents, contact information, precise location, advertising identifiers, or payment information through the Application.
Prcode may request access to certain device features only when needed to provide a function:
You can grant or withdraw permissions at any time in your device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working, but it will not prevent you from using unrelated features.
Information created in Prcode is generally controlled through the Application and your device. You may review or delete individual records, clear available history, remove exported files, or uninstall the Application to remove locally stored application data, subject to your device’s operating system and backup settings.
We cannot access, recover, correct, or delete information that remains only on your device. You are responsible for maintaining any backup you need and for protecting your device against unauthorized access.
When you export a file, share a scan result, open a link, call a phone number, send a message, connect to a Wi-Fi network, or use another action suggested by decoded content, that action is initiated by you and may involve a third-party application or service. The third party may collect or process information under its own terms and privacy policy.
Review the content and destination carefully before continuing. Do not open suspicious links, install unknown software, disclose credentials, make payments, or share sensitive information solely because a code instructs you to do so. We are not responsible for third-party services or their privacy and security practices.
Because Prcode keeps application data locally, the security of that data also depends on your device. Use a device passcode, keep your operating system updated, review files before sharing, and avoid scanning codes from untrusted sources. No device, storage method, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You retain responsibility for the codes, product information, lists, notes, files, and other content you create, import, scan, store, or share through Prcode. You must have the necessary rights and lawful basis to use such content and must respect applicable privacy, intellectual property, consumer protection, and other laws.
Before exporting or sharing a code or document, check whether it contains personal, confidential, financial, authentication, medical, location, or business information. Anyone who receives a readable code may be able to access the information embedded in it.
You must not use Prcode to create, process, distribute, or facilitate:
The Prcode software, interface, design, branding, and original materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Application for lawful personal or internal business purposes in accordance with this Policy.
This license does not transfer ownership and does not permit you to copy, modify, redistribute, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Application except with prior authorization or where applicable law expressly permits it.
Scan results may be affected by image quality, damaged labels, printing errors, unsupported formats, device hardware, or software limitations. You must verify important information independently before relying on a result, especially for payments, inventory, product safety, healthcare, travel, identification, or access control.
Prcode is a general-purpose utility and is not a certified payment, medical, security, authentication, inventory, or regulatory compliance system. A successful scan does not establish that a code, product, document, website, or sender is genuine or safe.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Prcode is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Application will meet every requirement, recognize every code, operate without interruption, remain compatible with all devices, or be free from errors or security risks.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for losses resulting from inaccurate or unreadable scans, lost local data, user-created content, exported files, actions initiated from decoded content, or third-party products, websites, applications, and services. Nothing in this Policy excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Prcode is a general utility and does not knowingly collect personal data from children or any other users. Parents and guardians should supervise a child’s use of scanned links, sharing features, and third-party services. If you believe a child has disclosed personal information through another service after using Prcode, contact that service directly and notify us if assistance related to the Application is needed.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may update this Policy to reflect changes in the Application, technology, or legal requirements. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. If a future version begins collecting personal data, this Policy and the relevant app-store disclosures will be updated as required before or when that collection occurs.
This Policy is governed by the laws of Vietnam, without limiting any mandatory consumer protection or privacy rights that apply in the jurisdiction where you reside.
