EASYESTIMATE: QUOTE & INVOICE
Privacy Policy
Zclou (“we”, “us” or “our”) publishes EasyEstimate: Quote & Invoice (“EasyEstimate” or the “app”). This policy explains how the app handles information and how to contact us at [email protected]. Our website is zclou.com.
Your business records are processed and stored on your device. The current app has no account system, application backend, advertising SDK or analytics service. You decide whether to export, share or back up your records. Local working data and exported backups have different protections, explained below.
1. Information handled by the app
EasyEstimate uses the information you enter or select to manage your businesses and generate documents. This may include:
- Company names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, logos, tax settings, currencies, languages and document terms.
- Customer names, contact details, service addresses and notes included in documents.
- Saved services and materials, prices, estimates, invoices, dates, payment records and document status.
- Signatures drawn on screen to record acceptance of a document.
- Settings and file or folder access references used for saving and restoring backups.
These records are not automatically uploaded to Zclou. Recording a payment does not charge a card or bank account. Signatures are captured locally; the app does not use them for biometric identification or remote identity verification.
2. Purposes and access permissions
The app processes these records to provide the features you choose: document creation, PDF export, customer and catalog management, company separation, payment tracking and backup or restoration.
When you choose a logo, the app uses the operating system’s photo or file picker. Exporting, importing or connecting a backup folder uses native file and folder selection. If you connect a folder, the app saves the access reference so it can write later snapshots using the permission you granted. The app does not need your device address book or precise location to create customer records.
You can cancel a picker or revoke access through your device or storage provider. Features that need that access may then stop working.
4. Local storage and backup protection
Working records are stored in the app’s device storage. EasyEstimate does not separately encrypt this working data; protection depends on your device’s security features and configuration.
Exported backup ZIP files contain data encrypted with AES-256-GCM using an application-managed recovery key. This allows the app to restore a backup across installations without asking you to remember a password. It is not a standard password-protected ZIP. The recovery key is embedded in the application and may be extracted by a technically capable person. This protection is not equivalent to a private password known only to you or end-to-end encryption.
PDF documents are readable exports and are not protected by the backup encryption. Use a device passcode, keep your operating system updated, and store exported files only in locations and accounts you trust. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
5. Retention, deletion and recovery
Local records remain until you delete them or remove the app’s stored data. The current app allows individual documents and catalog items to be deleted; it does not offer a single command to delete all customers or companies. To remove all local app data, use your operating system’s app-data removal or app deletion controls. On iOS, offloading an app may retain its documents and data; deleting it is a different action.
Uninstalling the app or resetting a device can destroy local records. Export a backup and preserve it outside the device before doing either. Reinstalling does not guarantee recovery unless you have a usable backup or a platform-provided restoration.
Previously exported PDFs, ZIP files, messages and cloud copies are separate. Delete them through the relevant file manager, recipient or storage provider. Disconnecting a backup folder does not delete files already written there. Because Zclou does not hold your local records, we cannot retrieve or erase those copies for you.
6. Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the email address and information you voluntarily send, including any attachments. We use this information to respond, troubleshoot and protect our services. Do not send complete customer databases, backup files, signatures or payment details unless necessary for a specific support issue.
Support correspondence is available to the people and service providers involved in handling the request. We retain it for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the issue, maintain relevant support records or meet legal obligations, and delete or anonymize it when it is no longer needed. Visiting our website or using its support form is covered separately by our website privacy policy.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You control the information you enter, the records you export, the recipients you choose and the permissions you grant. If you use EasyEstimate for a business, you are responsible for having an appropriate basis to enter and use other people’s information and for responding to your customers’ requests about records you hold.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or objection to processing of personal information that Zclou actually holds, or to receive a portable copy. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. Contact us to exercise applicable rights; we may need to verify your identity. We cannot access records that exist only on your device.
We handle support information to respond to your request, pursue legitimate interests in providing and securing support, and comply with applicable legal obligations. If you contact us from another country, your correspondence may be processed where our support or communication providers operate, subject to applicable data protection requirements.
8. Children
EasyEstimate is a business document tool and is not directed at children under 13 or a higher minimum age required by local law. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children through our support channels. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can address it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app or our practices change. The latest version will be available on this page with a revised update date. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. If future versions introduce accounts, synchronization, advertising or analytics, the policy and store disclosures will need to reflect those features.
